When I met Reb Eric, I had no clue what he had done in the world of Philanthropy, I still don't. He was so humble and unassuming. I'm taking on a few gestures of kindness (as suggested above) and a personal mitzvah in his honor. Happy Birthday Legend.

In memory of Eric z"l will go to the funeral of a fallen soldier Ronny Ganizate z"l who made Aliya from France, and was killed in action in Lebanon.

Papa Eric always went out of his way to help the world be a better place. I always admired this, and always remember his teachings of the more you give the more the universe gives you. I pledge to continue to honor his memory by:
Volunteering incommunity
Praying for return of the hostages and safetyof Israel
Donating tocharity
Continuing to pursue medicine to help make a lasting impact in thecommunity
Papa Eric was a true mensch, who I miss everyday, but his influence will live on forever

I will always remember how Papa Eric treated me, a young 23 year old “pisher” with such dignity and his full attention & presence. The hallmark of a great man I will never forget!

I will strive to understand rather than judge, and to spread positivity in both words and actions.

It is an honor to be able to add in chessed in the memory and merit of a man who personified Chessed to so many, especially here in our Cape Town community, and to our schools.

I pledge to do Mitzvot in Eric Samson's memory - to show gratitude to people in my life, give tzedkah, perform an act of kindness, and pray for the hostages and Israel!

Eric always made everyone who worked at Macsteel and their families feel like they were part of a wider family - he was always welcoming warm kind and generous - we really miss the connection to this unique man and his wonderful family. We were indeed privileged to know him. He was an inspirational presence.

Mr. Samson always greeted me with a smile and had time to exchange words no matter how busy he was. He listened intently, cared deeply and had a memory like an elephant. Mr. Samson earned respect and loyalty and taught through actions. Thank you Mr. Samson for caring and for making such a meaningful difference to so many. Your legacy lives on.

At this this time , my heart is with the parents friends and community as well as the Jews worldwide praying for the return of the hostages and peace in the Land of Israel with undivided Jerusalem.

May the neshama of Eric z’l have a powerful aliyah with this upsurge of kindness in his memory.

I commit to increased acts of kindness by sending an authentic message of appreciation and praying with deep kavannah for klal Yisroel, our hostages and chayalim.. I also intend without a pledge, to visit injured soldiers and work in the farms needing support or at La Leket.

As I step into this new year, I am making a personal commitment to dedicate more of my time, energy, and skills to supporting and enriching the lives of children. Through volunteering, I hope to contribute meaningfully to their growth, well-being, and sense of belonging.

Always to honor Papa Eric in ways that were held close to his heart. Always honor and defend the Jewish people and State of Israel. To always give when I can, and remember always that the "more you give, the more you get."
